WHO IS AUTISM-DOCTOR?

LILIYA The autism doctor

Psychiatrist, in fact – diagnosed with Atypical Autism aged 36. My diagnosis was made by Dr Quentin Deeley, FRCPsych, Consultant Psychiatrist (National Autism Unit at Maudsley Hospital, Institute of Psychiatry) & his lovely colleague, a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, at the end of the whole day-long assessment process.

(That is to say, my diagnosis is 100% legit).

Our Vision

Guaranteed provision of

Accessible healthcare
education (incl. social skills training, learning support & career guidance)
workplace support

To every Autism Spectrum Human throughout their lifetime.

How do we fulfill our mission?

Autism

Autism education & training deserves its rightful place, penetrating every curriculum at every level of education. From the little people at nursery school (daycare, pre-school, playschool, kindergarten, etc) to residents in nursing homes!

However old you are, you should learn about autism, and it is OUR JOB to provide you with high quality, accessible, inclusive, learning tools along with evidence-based content written by experts. Experts-by- training and Experts-by-Experience!

Early Education

As children move on to the higher levels of education and further training, they need to continue learning about autism.

Think about it: the job of a school is to prepare the individualfor taking on whatever their lives throw at them.

Well, every one in any given class in any given school is guaranteed to have to deal with autism at some point in their life.

Life Long Learning

All the government agencies and arm length bodies: for example, police, education institutions, hospital, health care workers, etc: all these – and more – categories would need to undergo the neurodiversity training.
The employers would need to incorporate Neurodiversity training into the onboarding programs.

HR professionals. would need to include ND training into the CIPD curriculum.

The diversity training would need to include ND awareness from nursery school onwards.

And then – the need to provide regular refreshers. At least, annually.

Language of Autism

AUTISM = WAY OF BEING OR AUTISM = A LANGUAGE.
WHICH ONE IS TRUE?
(Both, actually). And we need to ensure the appropriate treatment of the matters, by everyone involved.

Here’s an easy example: we must ensure that an ASC advocate is present during ALL major interactions between the autistic individual and the various public bodies. s c a dvocates. A present. At all.

Major.

Interactions between an individual. And. Various public bodies. And services. For example. We would require.

Advocates. To be available.

As a short notice.
